To further its mission to reduce the neighborhood and racial wealth divide in Baltimore City, Innovation Works in Baltimore, MD has been selected for a one-time Community Grant from Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand.
A program of the Black Community Commitment (BCC) – a 10-year, $100 million joint initiative of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand – these community grants are awarded to grassroots, non-profit organizations that are creating more equitable futures for Black Americans. Each of the 24 organizations selected for a 2022 Jordan Community Grant has a connection to the BCC’s four key focus areas of economic justice, education, narrative change and social justice.
“Our community grantees take grassroots support to new spaces of excellence to effect change in their cities – a reminder of how collective action at home has the power to drive both imaginative and meaningful impact,” says Craig Williams, Jordan Brand President.
Created in 2020 and designed to drive sustained and actionable change, this is the second cycle of the Community Grant Program as part of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand’s commitment to the Black community.
